About Ros Pach

I love the feel of a camera in my hands and have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. For me, a great photograph will always tell a story no matter what the subject whether it’s a person, an animal, an object, even a landscape. This is what I always aim to capture in my work.

I shoot both on film and digital mediums. I have a Diploma in photography as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Away from the mainstream, I like to experiment and explore interesting, unique and various ways of developing my photographic processes and practices. Collaborating with other artists as well as solo work, I have exhibited my work at galleries and venues around Melbourne.

Ten things about me

I am inspired by my husband (it’s true)

I don’t know how I ever lived without my beautiful son (he came into my world at just the right time)

My mother is Chinese, my father is Dutch – best of both worlds

Confused? My name is not Rosy Pea but no one can pronounce Ros Pach (can you?)

We come from Sydney but moved to Melbourne in 2007

Some of the greatest years of my life are the four years I spent in London sharing a house with amazing people and doing amazing things

Melbourne reminds me of Europe – it’s our compromise of not living there

I wish I like exercise more. I need an excuse to eat more cheese

If my father was still alive, I would want him to answer so many questions about his past (he was Jewish but he never talked about the war)

I sang in a band called Southbound Tram
