Windsor is an inner suburb of Melbourne located 5 kilometres south east of the city centre. As a part time shared ride driver, I get to see parts of Melbourne that I either visit very seldom or not at all. If I have time, I will park my car, grab my camera and take a walk around the neighbourhood.
Chapel Street is the main street showcasing Windsor's mix of eclectic shops, bars and cafes. Away from the hustle and bustle of High Street, James and Union Streets are almost devoid of people.
James Street which lies on the east side of High Street is a narrow street cluttered with designer homes.
In stark contrast, leading off in the other direction on west side of High Street, a much wider Union Street is less gentrified, dominated by public housing and the railway line.
